Principal's Report

Welcome to our final newsletter for the term!

We have been so pleased to return to a little more normality this term and both parents and staff have commented on how fantastic it was to be able to sit down for traditional face-to-face parent-teacher meetings last week.  We are very proud of how well our students have settled in this term and are excited about the learning planned for the remainder of the year.

Our Easter Parade today will be a wonderful celebration of a very successful term.  I look forward to seeing you from 12.30 today.

P&C News

Last Monday night was our P&C AGM.   The majority of the committee remained in their roles with a couple of new members joining the team.  The new committee consists of:

President: Jen Danskine
Vice Presidents: Lee Tasker and Mel Cooper
Treasurer: Sonia Rosier
Secretary: Julia Baker
Fundraising Coordinator: Linda Green
Communications: Melisa George

This new team is passionate and excited about the future of parent engagement in our school.  They would welcome your input and support and will warmly welcome you to the next meeting on Monday 10 May at 7.00pm.

School Holidays

Today marks the end of Term 1 for 2021 and I know that everyone is looking forward to the school holidays.  The staff will return to school on Monday 19 April for a Staff Development Day.  Students in K-6 will return for the start of Term 2 on Tuesday 20 April.

We wish all of our students and families a very happy and safe autumn break.

Swimming News

We are very fortunate to have a number of talented swimmers at Woolooware Public School who have recently competed at the Cronulla Zone, Sydney East and have now progressed onto the NSW PSSA State swimming carnival. Our swimmers have competed at all three carnivals with the utmost sportsmanship and integrity.

We have had some outstanding individual results, personal best times and a number of our students named Age Champion at our Zone carnivals. Furthermore, for the first time in Woolooware Public School history, all 4 of our relay teams qualified to compete at the NSW State Swimming Carnival, a remarkable achievement.

Woolooware Public School community is proud of our athletes and we wish them the very best of luck at the NSW PSSA State swimming carnival.

Congratulations to....

Our Zone Rugby League players - Ethan, Zane, Ashton, Ace and Riley.
