Welcome to Week 11, Term 4.
We have made it to the end of the year, and what a year it has been.
Throughout the highs and the lows, one thing has remained constant, and that is the spirit of Wyong Public’s can-do attitude. I wish to thank the entire staff for their continued professionalism and support for the children and families. I also sincerely thank Mrs Arnot who has relieved in my absence over the year for her work and professionalism in keeping things going during some challenging and difficult times that have occurred.
Whether it be in the classroom, on the sporting field or working from home throughout the lockdown period, our wonderful students, parents/carers and staff have all given it their best effort, and for this I thank you.
The past few weeks have been an exciting time with presentation day ceremonies and year 6 farewells, as well excursions. I wish to commend all the students on their outstanding behaviour at these events, demonstrating excellence, respect and responsibility. Please see throughout the newsletter some lovely pictures captured on the day.
I wish to remind everyone regarding Kindergarten transition beginning next term with Mrs Pass and her team.
Yesterday I met with Mr Damien Borrow who is taking over as Principal of Wyong PS in my absence. Damien is substantive principal at Dora Creek PS in Lake Macquarie and is very keen to meet the staff, students and families of Wyong. I wish him all the best and know he will enjoy his time at Wyong.
I would like to extend my warmest wishes for a safe, happy and healthy Christmas break to you and your families, and hopefully a happy and more consistent New Year. Have a lovely Christmas and enjoy the time a
As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I have taken up a Headteacher (Principal) role in England, and am thoroughly looking forward to this wonderful opportunity with my family. Wyong started for me in 2014, and I will take many fond memories with me and the family.
