COVID-19 Reminder- Extra Care Required in Goulburn
Hopefully our families are not affected. Children who have parents that may work at Trappers Bakery or the Shell Service Station near the Big Merino, who have been told they are a close contact by the authorities, must isolate until they receive a negative test.
Staff and students should not attend work or school if unwell, even with mild symptoms of COVID-19. Any person with any COVID-19 symptoms will be sent home and should not return until they have received a negative test result and are symptom-free. In circumstances where children have other medical reasons for recurrent symptoms a letter from their GP is sufficient to negate the requirement for a negative test.
COVID symptoms include:
any mild flu-like symptoms like fever, cough, sore/scratchy throat and shortness of breath, as well as other reported symptoms including loss of smell, loss of taste, runny nose, muscle pain, joint pain, diarrhoea, nausea/vomiting and loss of appetite.

Athletics Carnival
What a beautiful day to run an athletics carnival. No wind and lots of sunshine. It was a delight to see that students ran in most, if not all races they were eligible to compete in. Congratulations to all our students for having go. The activities held in the centre of the field for our younger students looked like a great deal of fun and physically challenging. The Sports House leaders had the chants echoing around the oval and the shouts of encouragement by students, staff and parents for individual runners towards the finish line, all added to the tremendous atmosphere. The day was capped off by the excellent catering provided by our hard-working P&C and unsuspecting parents who were roped into a job! Everyone appreciated the quality sausages and lunch packs.
Can I thank Chris and Paul, two ex-teachers who volunteered their time and vast experience for helping throughout the day.
Finally, a big shout out to all the Mulwaree High School students who came to help run the carnival. What an impressive group of helpful, engaged and polite young adults who worked throughout the day, helping with activities, cooking sausages and (thankfully) the pack up at the end of the day. Your efforts were greatly appreciated.
The District Athletics Carnival will be held on Friday 30 July 2021.
Canteen Update:
Our Canteen Manager Linda has been injured and off work for a few weeks, thanks so much to Sandy for holding the fort. We have had to close the canteen on Mondays due to staffing. There have also been a few days where we have not been able to find staff. We always advertise this on our Facebook page and via Skoolbag. We will always make an ‘emergency’ recess and lunch for students when required. Thanks to our parents and families for remembering our canteen is closed on certain days.
