NO ONSITE SCHOOL
MONDAY 15th ,
TUESDAY 16th,
OR WEDNESDAY 17th.
Dear Parents
As you have probably already heard by now, a LOCKDOWN has been announced starting from midnight tonight until midnight Wednesday 17th February.
It means NO ONSITE SCHOOL school on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for children. ( Work HAS and will BE PROVIDED) for children to complete.
It also means NO CAMP for our Year 5/6 children.
We will make every effort to reschedule but as camps are organised 12 months ahead this may be difficult. More details to follow when we investigate options.
ONLY children whose parents are considered essential workers and cannot work from home and where no other supervision can be arranged can be on-premises.
Vulnerable children, including children in out of home care, children deemed by Child Protection and/Family Services to be at risk of ham and children identified by the school as vulnerable(including via referral from family violence, homelessness or youth justice service or mental health or other health services) can also attend.
I MUST have confirmation by Saturday evening at 5 pm if your child meets these criteria in order to organise on-site supervision which is limited.
We were notified at 1:30 and teachers quickly rallied this afternoon to provide a computer and hard copy work for children in 3-6 and hard copy work for P-2 for the 3 days. Should LOCKDOWN be extended we will make alternate arrangements.
3-6 will continue some emails and Zoom sessions and P-2 teachers will be in contact by phone or email.
We recognise that this is very disappointing but we will remain positive and work hard to keep the children positive and motivated.
Stay Safe Anne Maree

This week we celebrated Safer Internet day. This brings a reminder that we need to be aware of both the benefits and possible dangers of Internet use. The online programs are a regular feature of our curriculum throughout the year. It is important that students adhere to our strict school guidelines on internet and email use and safe behaviours are monitored at home and school. A reminder that most Social Media pages e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, etc. have a minimum age of 13. Children are NOT permitted to access these sites using a school device or email account. We ask for your support in this safety issue.
