It is so pleasing to see all, except one year level, in the 90th percentile. Awesome effort Mum’s and Dad’s.

The Kindy’s, P/P’s and Year 5’s, have all increased their attendance so fantastic job everyone.  The Year 1’s, Year 2’s, Year 3’s, and Year 6’s have all maintained their attendance.  That’s great too!

When you receive your child’s report next week, please have a look at their attendance percentage for the semester and if it is under 90%, your child is at risk of not knowing all the skills and content necessary to progress the same as those who attend over 90%.  Try to work on having your child at school every day unless they are really sick.

It is fabulous to see us getting those percentages up over 90 again.  Remember our school will be audited on our attendance at the end of this term and compared to other schools, so let’s make sure we are the best!

Parents, remember to send us notification as to why your child is absent so it can be recorded accurately on our system.

2021 WINTER CARNIVAL : RECOUNT BY MIA STOICHEV

Friday the 18th of June brought the long awaited Winter Sports Carnival for our year 5 and 6 students.  Everyone played brilliantly, tried their best and most importantly had an exciting time.  All demonstrated fabulous sportsmanship and did their coaches proud.  Our hard work and training certainly paid off, although we didn’t bring all of the trophy’s home, we put up a very competitive contest.

Our Netballers, training in difficult weather during recess and lunch certainly paid off!  In A Division they won 2 out of their 4 games.  The results were very close and the games extremely nail biting finishes!!!! Overall, they came equal third with one point the difference between second, third and first place.  Division B team, we are very proud to say, won every game which resulted in our coming equal first and bringing the shield home to Rawlinson!!!!

In football, unfortunately Rawlinson came second place to Hampton Park.  Anzac Terrace, West Beechboro Primary and East Beechboro also participated and played well although they struggled to score against our mighty warriors.  It was an eventful and exciting day for everyone.

Meanwhile, in soccer, Rawlinson played well, but unfortunately weren’t able to win any games although we were very close against Anzac Terrace.  Everyone gave an excellent effort and had heaps of fun in the process.

Finally, we have Mod Cross, who demonstrated their talent and hard work by winning all games in Division A and Division B, taking out second place. Both teams had admirable rivals playing against them, but due to Rawlinson’s sheer determination played at their best for their school and peers.

HEALTH TIPS

Title

Protecting your children from harm is just as important online as it is in the real world.  As a parent or carer, you can play an important role in helping children have safe and positive experiences online. The internet offers an exciting world of experiences for children and the whole family. It can be entertaining, educational and rewarding. However, using the internet also involves risks and challenges. Children might be exposed to content that is sexually explicit, violent, prohibited or even illegal. They may also experience cyber bullying or be at risk from contact by strangers. Children may - unknowingly or deliberately - share personal information without realising they may be subject to identity theft, or that they are leaving behind content that might not reflect well on them in the future. By taking an active role in talking with your kids about the risks and answering their questions or concerns about something that they find on the Internet you can help them stay safer online. For more information on keeping your children safe online try the following website:
