Wow, all bar 2 year levels have gone down in unexplained absences and look at the Year 4 students – only 1!!!!  Nearly zero, what a fantastic effort Year 4 parents, students and teachers.  Maybe next week will be it year 4’s.  I can’t wait to see….

I’m very proud of everyone.

Remember it is very easy to reply to a text message when your child is sick and then it’s done and you don’t have to remember later.  In a more detailed analysis:

K         8 –  down to 5 students

P/P       4 –  up to 5 students

Yr 1     8 –  down to 6 students

Yr 2     8 -  down to 5 students

Yr 3     7 – down to 5 students

Yr 4     4 – down to 1 student

Yr 5     8 – up to 9 students

Yr 6     16 – down to 10 students

Keep those explanations coming in!

MASSED CHOIR FESTIVAL

Last night, our wonderful Rawlinson Choir performed in the first of nine concerts as part of the Massed Choir Festival.  They performed 11 songs at the Perth Concert Hall with 7 other schools, accompanied by a professional band and string quartet.  The audience was treated to a night of energetic choral singing, with choralography, by the massed choir as well as entertaining guest choirs.  The enjoyment the children had on stage was evident throughout the whole performance.  I wish to congratulate every member of our Choir for their hard work throughout the year in learning such a complex set of songs.  I am so proud of all they have achieved!

Where Are Our Rawlies?

Hello Families

Our classroom supplies of Rawlies have been slowly reducing.  We believe they may be hiding in student homes, possibly in bedrooms.

When students receive a Rawlie, a point is entered into Class Dojo and then the Rawlie is placed into the Class Rawlie box.

They are not meant to go home, though of course, some students store them in their pockets if they receive them in the playground or from a specialist teacher, and forget to take them out of their pockets when they get back to class.

Can you please ask your children to bring back any Rawlies they may have at home (or those you may find in the washing / washing machine)?

When they bring them back to school, they can enter their points onto Class Dojo and place them in their Class Rawlie box.

Thank you

Mr Ayres

Deputy Principal

UNIFORM SHOP

UPCOMING DATES

Term 4 - October Uniform shop - cancelled

As I am working full time as of 20th September off site, the Uniform shop will not be open in term 4.  Uniform purchases can still be made via the Qkr! app or the paper order forms in the office.  Delivery days will be the same as term 3, Mondays or Thursdays only.  P&C Chairperson  Rebecca Cavanaugh will be doing the deliveries for me  - Thanks Bec!

Kindy orientation Date TBA - we will need 7 volunteers.  New volunteers welcome!  As this is to support new families and kids in the school other committee members will be running the opening, it's a good opportunity to get involved and meet other parents! Email rawlinson.uniforms@gmail.com if you are interested in helping.

Uniform Shop will be closed for the year on Friday 26th November 2021.  No Qkr! uniform orders or paper order forms will be accepted or processed after this date.

NAME SCHOOL UNIFORMS PLEASE

Please remember to name your children's uniform items, this will mean the items can be returned to your child, even from the lost property bin.  Any unnamed items at the end of each term come to the uniform shop to be sold on as a second hand item.

DONATIONS

I would like to ask for donations of any clean, good condition uniform items that you no longer need.  This helps us to supply good quality second hand uniforms for those who would prefer to buy second hand.  Also remember the office needs uniform items for those who may have accidents at school, this includes underwear, shorts skirts etc.  Please also wash and return these items to the office if your child has needed to use them.  These donations can all be put in the donation box by the canteen - or office specific donations or returns can go direct to them.

Kind regards

Sue Giles
