Caritas Colour Run

Tomorrow, Santa Sophia will host the Caritas Project Compassion Colour Run on school grounds (Secondary students only).

The vibrant and colourful obstacle course challenge is a terrific way to raise needed funds for Caritas' good works, particularly its Project Compassion appeal.

College Athletics Carnival

Students, teachers and families had a wonderful day at Peel Reserve, The Ponds for our College Athletics Carnival.

It was the Inaugural Athletics Carnival for our College, marking a significant point in our school history. The sun really showed up as there were track and field events and games for the Primary students all throughout the day.

Soiree Books Out, Moved to Bigger Venue

Our Term 2 Performing Arts Soiree started as an informal evening showcase but all thanks to the enthusiasm of our school community (parents, students, staff) turned into a grand evening of musical and dance performances.

Year 1 Past and Present Dress Up Day

It was a big day for Year 1 students and teachers Miss Messina and Miss Espiritu, as Year 1 students dressed up to the theme 'Past and Present', as a fun exploration of their unit on family history.

First Library Book Donated By Illustrator

We have our first official book for our Knowledge Centre (the library) at Box Hill. 'The Voyage' has been donated to Santa Sophia by the book's illustrator, Andrea Edmonds, who is also the aunt of Kindy student, Aria.

Sports Update

Swimming

Jack and Bailey competed in the NSW All Schools Swimming Championships on Friday 28 May at Sydney Olympic Park. Bailey came in  6th place in the 50m Breaststroke.

Cross Country

Molly Mills (Year 7) and Ashton Hawkett (Year 8) competed at the NSWCCC Cross Country Championships on Tuesday 8 June. Molly Mills qualified for the NSW All Schools Championships, coming in 6th place in the 12 Girls category. 

Golf

Toby Farrar competed in the NSW All Schools Golf Championship. 

Building Update

Key Dates

20 August: Santa Sophia Catholic College/CEDP receives the Occupational Certificate, giving us the right to access the building and begin transitioning from our temporary campuses to our permanent Box Hill site

11 October: Students commence at Box Hill in Term 4

16 and 23 October: Parent tours for current families
