Last reporting period we had 77 students without an explanation for absences and now we are down to 69!  Yay!!  We are getting there.  If you receive a letter asking you to provide an explanation for certain dates, please complete this and return it as soon as you can so we can update our system.  Remember it is very easy to reply to a text message when your child is sick and it’s done.  In a more detailed analysis:

K      – from 7 up to 8 students

P/P   – from 8 down to 6

Yr 1 – from 8 up to 13

Yr 2 - from 13 down to 8,

Yr 3 – from 16 down to 13 students

Yr 4 – from 2 maintaining 2,

Yr 5 – from 12 down to 10

Yr 6 – from 11 down to 9.

Look at the Year 4 Parents go!! Still maintaining only 2 unexplained absences.  Let’s see if we can make that zero.  Well done.

It’s great to see such a decrease in unexplained absences, however, we really should be at zero.  Students, you can remind your parents to give you a note when you return to school or to contact the school when you are away.

Parents, we really need to work hard at this target, just like your children do within their class. Go Rawlinson parents, Go!!  I know you can do it.  Let’s help each other continue to make this the best school in the area.

FRIDAY PJ DAY

I wish it was PJ day every day during Winter!!  How much fun was it, coming to school in your jammies?  Staff and students had a great time being comfortable, especially me in my slippers all day.  I know the students had lots of fun seeing their friends and teachers in their pyjamas.  I think we need to do that again before Winter is over.

POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT

This fortnight's PBS focus is :

We are responsible when we tidy up after ourselves.
