We tell the truth and act truthfully.
Lord Jesus,
You give us your body and blood that we might have life.
Amen.
We tell the truth and act truthfully.
St Mary's School celebrated LifeLink Day on Wednesday by bringing in a gold coin to be able to wear their pyjamas to school. The students and staff loved coming to school in their pyjamas! The money raised ($240.60) will go to supporting the LifeLink agencies in the important work that they do.
Students in Years One to Six also researched about the various Life Link Agencies and created a power point presentation which will be uploaded to the Life Link page. Check it out at www.lifelink.com.au
Today is the feast of Corpus Christi (Body of Christ). This feast day celebrates the Eucharist as a sacrament of unity. When we break bread and share the one cup we recall the last supper before Jesus died on the Cross. Like the disciples, the Mass has bonded us in a love relationship. For this reason, the Eucharist is a call to unity and community.
On Friday, 11 June the Year Two Class will be leading us in Mass to celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus at 9.00am in the Church. All are welcome to attend.
Fr Andrew and St Mary’s Parish do a lot of social justice work for those who are less needy in our community. To support Fr Andrew with this we are going to have a box in the Library where are families are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items throughout the year. Examples of what is required include noodles, pasta sauce, pasta, etc. Please no fresh foods. So if you can spare an extra item in your shopping trolley every week or fortnight I know that it will be greatly appreciated.
School Banking will recommence on Wednesday, 9 June between 8.25 - 8.40am in the Library. I have attached two flyers for your information – one of which explains the process well, especially if you are new to school banking.

There is a building and maintenance issue with the Specialist Room making it off limits to staff and students. We have rearranged the specialist classes to accommodate this and I thank Mrs Criddle, Mrs McCormack and Mrs Dolton for their flexibility. A process is in place to rectify the issue and I will keep you informed of when the room will be available to be used again.
A gentle reminder that tomorrow is a Pupil Free Day as the staff will be involved in a professional learning event.
On Monday, 7 June we celebrate WA Day. It is a day to celebrate all Western Australians, recognising our Aboriginal history, early European settlers and the many from all over the world who have made, and continue to make, Western Australia their home. The day is a public holiday and so St Mary’s family will have an extra-long, long weekend.
Lord Jesus,
You give us your body and blood that we might have life.
Amen.
