Dear School Community,

Welcome to Week 4’s newsletter. I sincerely thank our generous community members who have kindly donated money to our school. Thank you to Jenny O’Grady, Marlene Hall and Lee Miranda. Lee has a granddaughter enrolled in kindergarten this year. This money will be used for families who need financial assistance throughout the year and on behalf of the school we appreciate their support.

House Captains 2021

Congratulations to the students who were voted in as this year’s house captains. The students include: Gulls - Nate and Kyra (blue) Eagles - Elizabeth and Pedro (red) Albatross - Chloe and Cruze (green) Swans - Abigail and Tyler-Jaxon (yellow)

Rainbow Colour Day

Rainbow Colour Day The students in Years 3 - 6 attended the swimming carnival on Monday so the infants had a special ’Rainbow Colour Day’. The students played games, ate a rainbow of fruit platter and completed rainbow themed activities in the classroom.

Assembly Week 3 - Congratulations to all students for showing the school's core values of Respect, Responsibility and Excellence! We also celebrated our new House Captains for 2021 whose parents were unable to attend due to COVID restrictions.

Special Religious Education NSW public schools allow time for Special religious education (SRE) and Special education in ethics (SEE), where authorised teachers of approved providers are available, we follow DoE procedures.

Information

Marks Point Public School is committed to improving the educational outcomes for all students. We are committed to 'closing the gap' and the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students so they may excel in all aspects of their education.

We will be holding parent information sessions after school during Week 6 starting 1st March and Individual Planning meetings during Week 7 for all students.

The BBQ breakfast will be available from 7:30am and teachers will be present from 8 - 9am. Don't forget to RSVP for catering purposes, thanks.
