Dear Community
All of a sudden we are at the end of Term 3!
We finished off our ‘sporting’ term with our interschool carnival at Doubleview Primary School. We were blessed with magnificent weather for both of the days that our students participated and it was great to see so many parents come along to cheer and support. We are very proud of our students who showed fantastic enthusiasm and sportsmanship throughout.
The biggest news from the day was that one of our students won a Championship medal! Congratulations Darcy Tate for taking out the award for Year 3 Champion Boy. Not only are you a fierce competitor, but also a great role model for sportsmanship.

COVID Vaccinations and school students
There has been a lot of information in the media around vaccine rollouts for children aged between 12 and 16 and opportunities for student vaccinations both inside and outside schools. When hearing this information there are several important points to remember:
- It is not mandated that students be vaccinated and there are no plans to change this.
- Whilst some schools will be participating in trials to vaccinate students aged 12 and over in school from the start of this term, this does not impact us at all at this stage. It will initially be rolled out as an opportunity for vaccination in residential and agricultural colleges as well as Secondary Education Support Centres.
- Any in school vaccinations require parental consent. If parental consent is not given, their child will not be vaccinated at school.
- The Department of Health is the lead agency in WA’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. For further information on the state’s response to COVID-19, including current health advice regarding COVID-19 testing and vaccinations, please visit the Department of Health website, or call the COVID-19 Help Line on 13 268 43
- The Department of Health is leading the planning for the walk-in and school-based clinics. Parents and carers can visit the Healthy WA website - https://www.healthywa.wa.gov.au/Articles/A_E/Coronavirus/COVID19- vaccine/Vaccination-for-secondary-students-and-school-staff for more information.
