This routine is new to all of us, please be patient as we all adjust.

PRINCIPAL'S NEWS

Dear Parents

It never ceases to amaze me how fantastic the staff at Rawlinson Primary School are and how lucky we are to have them.  Their preparedness and calm way that they handle the huge change in children’s lives as they start or recommence school is outstanding. Please thank them every chance you get.

We have a lot happening this term and the P&C have requested that we return to the practice of putting out a calendar of events.  We will be sending this out next week as soon as we have finalised as many things as possible.  Please be aware that this calendar will be subject to change and you can find the latest details on our website and in this Newsletter.

Our first PBS Assembly is this Monday, starting at the commencement of school and concluding at 9.15am.  It would be terrific to see you there.  At this assembly we will be announcing the 2021 Student Council and the Lead Students as well as presenting them with their badges.

On Monday, February 15th, there will be an informal “on the grass” sit around discussion for parents of children in Kindy and Pre-Primary.  This discussion is to allow you to communicate how the year has started and any prickles that you may have so that we can deal with them before they become problems.  The meeting will start at 2.30pm near the sand pit and conclude at 3.00pm.

A couple of House Keeping points.

·         Please reverse park in the staff carpark.  This makes leaving the area much safer and faster as you are able to see everything that is happening.

·         The Adventure Playground in the big school is out of bounds to students before school.  Please do not take your children onto this equipment.

·         After school, children can only play in this area if with a parent, and parents you need to leave by 3.30 pm as we lock up the school gates.

Thank you to everyone for the Responsible, Respectful way that you have been Ready to support Rawlinson Primary by wearing masks and staying at a safe distance.

Kind regards

Darryl Dedman

UNIFORM SHOP

Term 1  Open Day            Friday 12th March (Week 5) 2.30 - 3pm ONLY

As Qkr! has now been up and running for a year, the uniform shop will now open once per term.  You can still order on Qkr! at any time.  Qkr! deliveries will continue to be delivered Mondays and either Thursday or Friday, due to my regular work commitments.  Just remember to factor in the 2.30pm cut off time for my report. e.g.  Orders made before 2.30pm Thursday can be delivered Friday, but orders made after 2.30pm will be delivered Monday.  Remember for any issues please contact me at rawlinson.uniforms@gmail.com I will endeavour to sort out any exchanges on my nominated volunteering days.

Please remember the uniform shop is staffed and run by Volunteers, and we all have outside work.  Please volunteer when we put out the call, we always need fresh faces!  Thanks to the new helpers who volunteered at our only open day!  If you had not heard, we did not receive our delivery of polos as scheduled so we had to juggle a little to ensure we could open with stock.  My apologies for the last minute changes.

We are getting a delivery soon, but currently we are out of stock of some items until they arrive.  I apologise for any inconvenience.

Out Of Stock Items.

Polo size 6

Bucket Hat (Medium)

Dermokalitj size 12

Jida size 10

Exchange policy

Just a reminder that all items that need to be exchanged must be in an unnamed, unworn condition with tags still intact.  I cannot resell items that have been named, I can only accept them as a donation.

Once you are certain the uniform items fit your child, then please label the items especially jumpers and hats.

LEAVERS SHIRTS

Ordering

By now the Year 6's should have received the Leavers Shirt Order form for the 2021 Leavers Shirt.  We will be open for sizing on Monday 15th February and Friday 19th February from *8.30 - 8.50am (due to the new school day timing, this is different to the form.  Sorry for the confusion). The Leavers tab has been switched on in Qkr! so you may order your shirts through there.  Alternatively, you can fill in the paper order form and return it, in an envelope and with correct payment, to the school office.  The ladies in the office cannot provide change, as this is run by the Rawlinson P & C.  Deadline for the orders is Friday 19th February, late orders cannot be accepted.

Sizing

The shirt sizes match the current Rawlinson polo shirt sizes, but please come down to try them on if you are unsure what size to purchase.  Sizes from 8 to L are able to be ordered, there are also only 2 size XL blanks available from previous orders.  If you are unable to try them on at this time, please email us and we will try to accommodate you at a different time.  As the Leavers shirts are a special order, there are no returns or exchanges on these Items.  If you discover any faults with the stitching or printing you have 7 days from delivery to inform me, for them to be rectified by the company.  Please email rawlinson.uniforms@gmail.com and we will make arrangements.  After this date the onus for repair falls to the owner.

Delivery

At this stage the delivery of the Leavers Polos is expected at the end of Term 2.  We will keep you updated via the Newsletter, Schoolbag and our Facebook page.  As you can appreciate, Covid-19 is still impacting delivery times due to various restrictions on shipping, so this is beyond our control.
