Students Success:
Congratulations to our aerobics teams who recently competed remotely at the National Championships. The girls and Miss Emily did an amazing job in the tough conditions and although they did not place, we are very proud of their continued dedication and amazing skills! Well done, girls!
Holiday Time:
This Friday is the last day of Term 3. Students return to learning on Tuesday 5 October. At this stage, students will be learning from home at the beginning of Term 4. If we receive word that we can have students back on site at the beginning of term, I will let you know via Skoolbag.
Congratulations Miss Walters:
Miss Walters has been the amazing coordinator behind a massive food drive to support the residents of Wilcannia recently. The residents are struggling being isolated from fresh food and supplies while COVID 19 cases surge in the town. Miss Walters successfully organised for over $27000 worth of fresh food and supplies to be delivered to the town to support the residents. A wonderful, thoughtful achievement! Congratulations, Miss Walters!
Got It:
The Got It program will begin in our school next term. While the Got It team are unable to visit the school to run the program, it will still be going ahead via technology. We are very excited to have this fantastic program available for our families.
Parenting in A Pandemic:
The Maggie Dent webinar ‘Practical Parenting in a Pandemic’ has been very well received by our community with its useful, practical ideas for parents. As part of the purchase of this program, the video recording is available for our community for the next month to view. The link has been sent via Skoolbag.
Teaching Interns:
A big thank you to our interns Mr Fletcher, Miss McCallum, Miss Morgan, Miss Jarvie, and Miss Gascoinge who have been working with us this term. While it has not turned out to be the internship they were expecting, we have been very impressed with their knowledge, dedication and initiative! We wish them all the best in what we are sure will be wonderful, successful careers!
Thank You:
I would like to say thank you to our amazing community for your continued support during this difficult term. While we are all very keen to get our students back to school, I am very impressed by our community’s ability to stand strong, work together and support each other when we need to most. Thank you and please have a relaxing, enjoyable holiday!
NAPLAN: The individual student results for Year 3 and 5 NAPLAN have been delivered to the school. We are hoping to send the result envelopes to parents through the mail. Please keep an eye out for the results envelope in the next couple of weeks.
