Last week, I reminded students at Assembly to wash their hands after going to the toilet and before they ate food.  You have obviously listened and done just that, as our attendance has increased overall.  Great listening and following through with that advice everyone!

The Kindy’s, P/P’s, Year1’s, Year 2’s, Year 3’s and Year 4’s, have all increased their attendance so fantastic job everyone.  The Year 6’s maintained their attendance and the Year 2 students had the greatest increase in their attendance percentage.  Well done Year 2 students.  You are super stars!!

Remember every day counts and you need to be at school higher than 90% of the time or you will be missing important skills and concepts necessary for the following year.

It is fabulous to see us getting those percentages up over 90 again.  Remember our school will be audited on our attendance at the end of this term and compared to other schools, so let’s make sure we are the best!

Parents, remember to send us notification as to why your child is absent so it can be recorded accurately on our system.

A2 BIKE RIDING LESSON

A couple of weeks ago, the Pre-Primaries had a bike riding lesson in our car park. We would like to give a huge THANK YOU to Rusty, our crosswalk attendant, for giving up his time to come and be a part of the lesson, as well as Helen, our previous attendant.  We would also like to give a GINORMOUS THANK YOU to Mr Ogilvie, from Big W, in Ellenbrook, for so generously donating 8 beautiful bike helmets to the Pre-Primaries to use when riding during recess and lunch times.  We are so grateful for this fantastic donation.

The students had to stop and wait when someone crossed the road and they had to watch carefully and stop when Mrs Vanos drove past the crosswalk. They had so much fun during this very practical lesson.

COMMUNITY LIBRARY

When I was walking around the school the other day, I saw this wonderful mum, Mrs Borrie, sitting with her children, reading to them from our Community Library.  This is such an important thing to do with your children, so please have a look in the library and see what you can find to read to your child/ren.  Thank you Mrs Borrie for setting a great example by reading to Cooper and Alicia.

Students from A1 will have their work displayed

weeks 9, 10 & 11 of Term 2.

Please visit the office to admire the work that is on display.
