Dear Parents and Carers,

Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea

We invite parents and families to come together for a cuppa and a chat in our library at 10:30am tomorrow, for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. A gold coin donation to raise funds for people impacted by cancer will be gratefully accepted.

We hope to see you there!

Knives In Schools

Schools have been requested to inform communities that current Department of Education policy states that knives should not be brought to school under any circumstances, including butter knives and fruit knives in lunchboxes. This includes knives that are carried for religious purposes.

Please note this notice is not related to any incident at our school. Further information can be found in the parent fact sheet below in this Newsletter.

2022 Enrolments

Don’t forget that we are accepting enrolments for Kindergarten 2022. Please see the office if you have a child who you are expecting to commence school with us next year. Similarly, please spread the word to new families who are intending to enrol.

P.S.S.A District Cross Country

Wow! What an amazing cross country carnival at Willandra yesterday! I could not be more proud of the students who competed and gave their very best. It was a perfect day for running and ‘Team Tomerong’ finished with a total point score of 663, placing our school fifth out of the twenty schools in the Shoalhaven area. It took a mighty effort from all of our students to reach this score and it was an amazing team effort. Thanks again to all of our terrific parents and carers who helped with transporting the students to and from this event. I know the children appreciated having you there.

Congratulations to Archie, Orlando, Phoenix and Riley H who placed in the top seven in their age group. These students will now go on to represent our District at the South Coast Regional Cross Country Championships at Willandra on Friday 11 June. We wish them every success and I encourage these students to continue on with their training.

A note for ordering a ‘hoodie’ was sent home with these students today. These hoodies will be sold online through the merchandise tab on the South Coast SSA website. Instructions for ordering these hoodies can be found on the note.

Infants Cross Country Ribbons

Student from Kindergarten to 7 years of age will receive their cross country ribbons at tomorrow’s school assembly. I would like to thank Mrs Dilley, Mrs Baxter and Miss Palcer for organising a wonderful cross country for our infant students. It was fantastic to see so many parents encouraging and supporting the children. It was also very impressive to see how quickly our parents could run around the course!

Soccer Clinics

Last Thursday, students commenced soccer clinics on the school oval and these clinics will occur again tomorrow and Week 7. We are very fortunate to have Mark Johnston from Shoalhaven Soccer running these clinics for the children. Mark brings a wealth of experience and the students are loving their time playing sport.
