Dear Parent / Carer,
What a wonderful way to begin drawing 2021 to a close, with an amazing week of celebrations here at Jamberoo.
On Monday evening, our Class of 2021 were finally able to let their hair down and enjoy their end of year six celebration. Mrs Aquilina, Mrs Blazesvki, Mrs Galea and their team, pulled together an awesome night. The students and staff enjoyed a beautiful meal, speeches and some dancing. At the end of the evening we were joined by the parents who were able to see the entertaining video put together by Mrs Galea and have a good boogie with their child. Please see photos in this edition.
Today we held our final end of the year presentation assembly. Unfortunately parents and carers were unable to come along and share in the experience. We were very lucky have Grandma Nell here to take photos. Many of these photos are in this edition. Some are unable to be downloaded in this format as their file size is too large. I was also fortunate today to be able to induct our new school captains for 2022 and thank our leaders from 2021.
Outgoing captains Mali B & Kiya R - incoming Mahala P & Hayley M Outgoing Vice captains - Matilda K & Ruby P - Incoming Odin S & Indianah R.
Congratulations to all our award winners and well done on the resilience of those who have achieved all year and maintained our school's high expectations of "Care for self, Care for others and Care for this place!"
Gold Day
Here is the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT - Gold day will be going ahead on Wednesday 15 December in cohorts.
There will be three activities on the day.
Activity #1 - watching the school production with freshly made popcorn in our hall.
Activity #2 - Aqua Skirmish
Activity #3 - Slip'n'slide
So far the weather forecast tells us that it should be warm and sunny on this day, so please come along prepared to get wet. We will also have a sausage sizzle and some special treats on the day. When getting ready for gold day, please think sun safe and clothing and shoes that are able to get wet.
Class parties are also taking place nest week. Each classroom teacher is organizing this with their class. Students are able to wear mufti on their class party day.
Finally I would like to say a massive thank you to all of our Jamberoo Public School community for an amazing year. We made it, and it is from working together as a learning team that our children have thrived. I wish you all a wonderful and safe holiday period.
