Welcome to Week 4 of Term 3. We have had some real wintry weather over the past three weeks since returning to school and encourage our students to ensure they are wearing their winter school uniform, school jumpers and if they have one a school colour beanie.
We are still under Level 2 Limited Restrictions (see table below) and following the Department of Education guidelines. We need to be vigilant with staff and students who are unwell.
Staff and students must not attend work or school if unwell, even with mild symptoms of COVID-19. Any person with any COVID-19 symptoms must be sent home and not return to school unless:
- they have isolated for 10 days, when no medical certificate is available
- they have a negative COVID-19 test result and are symptom free.
In circumstances where children or staff have other medical reasons for recurrent symptoms, a letter from their GP is sufficient to negate the requirement for a negative test.
As we continue to monitor COVID 19 restrictions we will determine on a week by week basis which activities and events will continue.
With this in mind we have regretfully cancelled our Year 5/6 camp at Broken Bay. Families have been notified and letters sent home with a refund form for all money paid to be refunded. If you have a student who has been affected by the cancellation of camp, please return the paperwork for refund as soon as possible so we can commence the process of issuing refunds.
Weather and extremely wet grounds have caused the rescheduling of the District Athletics Carnival at Hudson Park. The district event was to take place on Friday 6th August, but again has been postponed till Wednesday 8th September. Permission notes will be re-issued closer to the new date.
This week we have celebrated Plant a Tree Day. Goulburn Mulwaree Council have kindly donated a Banskia Tree for the students to plant. We have also planted two more Banksia trees in the timber boxes that Mr Hazelgrove our General Assistant has cleverly built.
