Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Carers,

Updated COVID Guidelines

It’s been lovely welcoming our parents back into the school grounds this week as COVID restrictions have loosened. Parents and carers are now able to enter the school for pick up and drop off, providing they are well and signing into the Service NSW App using the QR codes at our entry points.

Please take note of the following:

 - The school will continue to supervise the Road Cross in the afternoon for those who choose to wait across the road.

- Please continue to make an appointment if you would like to meet with your child's teacher as well as refrain from entering classrooms.

- Please be mindful of social distancing and refrain from crowding classroom doorways and veranda areas etc. Waiting on the grassed areas is preferable.

We look forward to seeing you back in our school.

Canteen Survey

A reminder to please complete our canteen survey if you haven’t already done so. This survey was sent home on paper last week and is also available by clicking on the link below.

Expressions of Interest for High School 2022

Last Wednesday, our Year 6 students received a form titled ‘Moving into Year 7 in a NSW Government school on 2022.’ These Expression of Interest forms require parents to indicate their preferences for their child’s high school placement. A reminder that these are due back to our school by next Friday, 19 March. Please note that if you are intending for your child to attend a Non-Government school (i.e. St John’s), it is still a requirement that you complete and return the form.

Easter Parade and Raffle

We’re all looking forward to our upcoming Easter Parade, which will be held on Tuesday 30 March. With COVID guidelines easing, we are excited that we will be able to have some parents in attendance. As we still need to manage social distancing on site we are kindly requesting visitors are restricted to one family member for students in Years 1-6 and up to two family members for students in Kindergarten.  We anticipate our parade will be held on the oval, as long as the weather is favourable to us.

Tickets for our raffle were sent home today. All donations of Easter goodies for our raffle will be greatly appreciated.

Have a great week,

Rod White

Principal

SPORTS SHORTS

Congratulations

What a term it has been in sport! Congratulations to all of the students who received their swimming place-getter ribbons at last week’s assembly. Well done to our age champions as well.

It’s been a busy time lately getting children to and from the various P.S.S.A. trials that have been taking place all over the Shoalhaven area. I would like to thank all the parents for their support in getting the children to and from these events. Photos of student achievements have been included with this report.

This year’s Cross Country will be held at Willandra, Cambewarra, on Thursday 1 April (the last day of Term 1). A permission note with more details will be sent home next week.

Junior AFL Gala Day-Change of Venue

Next Friday, 19 March, 3-4R and 3-4S will be participating in an AFL Gala Day. Permission notes with costing and information were sent home last week on bright pink paper. Since then, we have been advised that the venue has changed from the Vincentia Leisure Centre oval to the Huskisson Soccer Fields. There will not be a new note issued so the original permission note can still be handed in and is due by Wednesday 17 March. Don’t forget to include your payment of $10 or you can pay online.

Thank you

Thank you.
