LEARNING THE RCC WAY

Continuing their study of heat, Year 3 made solar ovens and cooked s'mores. It was a bit cloudy, so the marshmallows didn't melt, but the chocolate did! Yum!!!

The chicks have hatched!!

We are thrilled to announce that after 21 days, Year 4 have incubated and hatched 19 chicks as part of their study of Life Cycles! We have enjoyed 'parenting' them and students have loved naming them and showing care and love on chickens. We have marvelled at God's amazing design in creation, seen in the stages of life. They are so cute and have been a delight to staff and students who have had a little peak into the brooder. Massive thanks to parent Luke Saad for providing the eggs and all the experience, Mrs Miller for her incubator, to Taryn Kamphorst for loaning us the brooder and to our community for praying for the journey as we have waited expectantly! It takes a community and God has blessed us with such a healthy group of chickens. They will be adopted out to families from Year 4 who have chickens and hens to mother them next week.

Year 4 eggs have hatched!!

Year 5 Cooking

Year 5 did some cooking on Thursday as part of their integrated unit called the Scientific Chief. They have been looking at mixtures in Science and photography in Art. Their brief today was to pick a theme and create a backdrop for their cupcakes to be photographed in. Great work year 5!

Cooking with Year 5

Year 8 students created some amazing healthy and delectable lunches as part of their Food Tech Lunch Box Assessment. Well done!!
