Principal's Message

Dear Families,

One more sleep until school holidays!  I am looking forward to some sleep ins, some bike riding, visiting family and hopefully heading up to Mt Stirling for some skiing.  I hope you get to spend some quality time with your children and that they come back to Term 3 ready and raring to go.

Prep Enrolments

A reminder that Prep 2022 enrolment applications are due on the 16th July, which is the end of the first week back next term.  If you know anyone who is planning to enrol a Prep student for next year please direct them to http://www.mansfieldps.vic.edu.au/enrolment

Reports

Reports were sent home this week.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your classroom teacher.  You can also make a time to see me by calling the front office.

Ethan Lovick

Ethan, in 3B, is sleeping in his swag until the end of winter.  He has it set up in the yard and is raising money and awareness for the Starlight Foundation.  It costs $6500 for Starlight to grant a wish to very sick kids.  Ethan has already raised enough for one wish and is on his way to two.  If you can donate; https://starlightfundraisers.org.au/ethan-lovick.  I hope it stays warm and waterproof in there.

What a legend!

Attitudes to School Survey

Every year our Grade 4, 5 and 6 students complete the Attitudes to School Survey.  Students answer questions about their school, their wellbeing and their learning.  Our school captains look through previous data with me and help us to conduct the survey.  The survey this year will be completed in Week 2 next term.

Like always, please get in touch with us with any questions or concerns.  Call or email your classroom teacher, call the front office or email me tom.macmunn@education.vic.gov.au.

Have a lovely fortnight, I look forward to seeing everyone at the start of next term.

Take Care,

Tom

Ethan Lovick who is one of our students here at Mansfield Primary School has set a goal to sleep in his swag until the end of winter to hopefully raise enough money to grant a wish through Starlight Wishes. Five days into launching his fundraiser Ethan has already exceeded the cost of one wish so has decided to aim for two.

Just because you’re sick doesn’t mean you stop being a kid and wishing on a Star. Being sick shouldn’t mean missing out on all the fun of childhood. All kids love to wish upon a star and who doesn't want their wish to come true? To make a wish come true, I'm committed to sleeping in my swag until the end of Winter to raise money so Starlight Wishes can be granted! Please help me raise enough money so Starlight can continue to help sick kids simply be kids. I'm fundraising for Starlight to help replace pain, fear and stress with fun, joy and laughter. Please donate and help me raise enough money to cover the cost of at least one Wish or hopefully more so that I can ensure at least one child's Wish can come true this year!!! Ethan Lovick
