From the Principal

The end of the 2021 academic year has come sooner than we expected. Please read your child’s report with them and celebrate the many successes achieved, whilst also taking into consideration teacher advice for improvement, especially for those students going into Years 8, 10 and 12 next year.  Thank you to all parents who regularly and enthusiastically supported our Parents As Partners programme this year.  We look forward to another year of even stronger collaboration in 2022.  I thank all the OLSH staff for a second COVID-19 challenged year of dedication, giving your child/children their all every day.  I especially thank the Leadership Team of Mr Patrick Baiwan, Mrs Wiki Thomas and Mrs Rachel Baiwan for their tireless service of the school every day this year.  Mrs Thomas and Mrs Baiwan can be rightly proud of a successful year of leadership and personal growth as the new Heads of School. The ancillary staff is the engine room of the school and my thanks to each one of them in Maintenance and Administration for supporting the Leadership Team and the teachers for their efforts in bringing the 2021 school year to a successful end.

The Leadership Team joins me in wishing all students, staff, parents and the extended OLSH community the peace, joy, love and hope of the baby Jesus at Christmas and a joyful and prosperous 2022.  May you stay COVID-Safe and enjoy this well-earned time of rest and relaxation.

  • Monday 24 JanuarySchool reopens for 2022.  All students P-12 are expected to attend school at 8.30 am in full uniform. Lessons start in earnest.

Early in the new school year, we will publish to the OLSH community a report on the results achieved by our students in the 2021 National Examinations.
