Counsellor's Message

Hi MIPS Community,

I am deeply anticipating the return to school and opportunity to meet with your kids and your family face to face again. It has been a difficult and sometimes fraught road over these past few months. A colleague of mine has prepared an excellent transition to school resource which I share below.

Best regards,

Justin

School Counsellor

Religious Coordinator's Message

Happy birthday to Father Oliver today! We hope he has a wonderful day and we thank him for everything he does for us!

October is the month of the Rosary and designated The Extraordinary Missionary Month back in 2019, by Pope Francis.

As a Marian school, Mary Immaculate has a particular devotion to our mother Mary. As part of our online learning, each grade is focusing on praying a decade of the rosary and/or learning to pray the Rosary and reflecting on the Rosary Mysteries of the day.

We are also incorporating into our prayer time, the Mission Rosary. The Mission Rosary helps children to understand that they belong to a Universal Church that shares God’s love with our global human family. As they pray each decade they remember children in that continent and how, through Christ, we are all connected.

We hope the month of October will be one of prayer, hope, advocacy and humility as we strive to be the head, heart and hand of Christ to those in need, especially during these unprecedented times.

Mrs. Helen Moore

Religious Education Coordinator
