This is our last newsletter of 2020 and what an amazing year to reflect on. The staff would like to thank all the parents, carers, grandparents and community for your immense support of students and staff during this disrupted year. We understand how incredibly challenging online learning was but you managed it and we are very grateful. Seeing students back at school in Term 2 was a highlight.
I would like to acknowledge the work done by Mr Kelly and Miss McPherson to support the live streaming of Presentation Day and Kindergarten Graduation, allowing the community to see these events even though they couldn't be here.
This year we say goodbye to Mrs Tracy Judd and Mrs Fran Burston. Mrs Judd has been an integral part of the Stage 2 team and we wish her the best as her career in teaching continues. We hope to see her back at Dudley one day. Mrs Burston has worked across K-6 supporting students with additional needs. It is sad to see her go and we wish her all the best.
Today we clap out our Year 6 students as they end their 7 years at Dudley Public School. We all wish them every success and look forward to hearing of their successes in years to come. For the families saying goodbye to Dudley Public as their youngest child graduates, thank you for your support of the school.
I would also like to congratulate our 2020 Leadership Team - Mia, Rex, Anna and Max. It was an interesting year to be a school leader. Our new school leaders for 2021 were announced last week and I look forward to working with Lachie, Ruby, Josh and Eloise next year.
I hope you all enjoy the summer break with family and friends and we look forward to seeing you all in 2021.
Mrs Carey
