Holy Trinity Primary Granville

Term 1 Week 4 - 18th February 2022

From the Leadership Team

Shauna Nash Acting Principal

Dear Parents, Carers and Children,

In this weeks Gospel, Jesus challenges us to Love your enemy. This is probably one of the hardest things to do, but is what is required if we are to truly be his disciples. As human beings when we are hurt by someone, either physically or verbally we tend to want to strike back and hurt them. However, Jesus says that we need to turn the other cheek and forgive. He wants us to act towards our enemies the way we would like them to act towards us, In other words we show them the way Jesus loves, which is unconditionally. In our school this message aligns with our agreements of being safe and respectful as this is a true expression of Jesus message.

Throughout the last two years there has been a lot of stress and uncertainty as a result of COVID, which can bring out less than desirable qualities in all of us. As a community I believe the families of Holy Trinity have united in the desire to work together to ensure that we face the challenges with grace, through supporting the actions of the school as it adapts and responds to these ever changing times. Thank you to each of you for your ongoing support.

Warm regards

Shauna

There has been an increase in school equipment going missing since we have returned. Can all parents/carers return anything your child brings home that does not belong to them.

Parent Information Night

Thank you to the parents who attended the Parent Information Night via Zoom on Wednesday night. The slides from the presentation have been made available through Skool Bag.

Message from the Canteen

Leila in the canteen is quite often asked to heat students' food that has been brought in from home. Unfortunately this is not allowed due to WHS concerns. Please do not pack food for your children that requires heating, because it can not happen.

Notice required before moving students from school

10 school weeks in writing must be given to the principal before removal of a student or a full term’s fees will be payable.

This requirement is in recognition by the family of the commitment to assist funding of the School by having their child take a place that could have been offered to another family.
