THE MOST HOLY TRINITY YEAR B

  • A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew

The eleven disciples set out for Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had arranged to meet them. When they saw him they fell down before him, though some hesitated. Jesus came up and spoke to them. He said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, make disciples of all the nations; baptise them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to observe all the commands I gave you. And know that I am with you always; yes, to the end of time.’

  • Celebrated on the first Sunday after Pentecost, Trinity Sunday is a Feast Day celebrated by Christians all over the world.
  • 'The mystery of the Most Holy Trinity is the central mystery of Christian faith and life.' (CCC, #234). The mystery of the Trinity is the most fundamental and core teaching and belief of the Catholic faith; it is the mystery of Who God is in Himself and is the source of all other mysteries of faith.

200 Years of Catholic Education in Australia.

The Diocese of Parramatta celebrated the Bicentennial of Catholic Education on Monday 24th May with a special mass at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Parramatta. Every school across the Diocese was represented by a Student Leader, their parent and School Leaders. Thank You to James McGirr and Mr Paul McGirr, who attended as our student and parent representative.

The mass highlighted the many contributions of education from our early and simple beginnings right here in Parramatta, to a strong and diverse education system spread throughout all the corners of this Great Land.

Each school was presented with a 200 year Commemorative Plaque. This plaque will be placed at the front of the school office.
