Term 4 Week 3: Monday 18th October 2021

Principal's Message

Return to School!

How wonderful it has been to have our Kinder and Year 1 students here today! The whole day has been incredibly positive. The welcoming atmosphere we tried to create this morning appears to have really set up a great return to school. Balloons and lots of welcoming staff hit the spot! The children could not wait to get to school and see their friends again. What a brilliant return. The children have been amazing on their return. Many will be tired after such a big day. We have tried to ease them back into school deliberately because they need that space at the moment.

Looking forward to the return of our other children next week!

With appreciation for your ongoing support,

Stephen Dowd

Principal

Assistant Principal

Welcome back to our Kindergarten and Year 1 students! It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces enter the school grounds this morning. We cannot wait to have everyone back next week.

We are extremely proud of all the learning that the students participated in over the online learning period. We look forward to reconnecting each student with their peers and teachers. Seeing the excitement in their little faces this morning was heart-warming.

As previously mentioned, we are so grateful for all the support and assistance parents have provided over the lockdown period. It is times like this that we realise how fortunate we are at MIPS to have such a loving and caring community.

Counsellor's Message

Dear MIPS Community,

As the transition back to school for all students continues this week and next week, there may be a period of adjustment for your children and family.

I am available face to face at school Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays to support the transition back to school and your child's wellbeing in general. I've attached some information provided by the Australian Psychological Society. I hope that you find it useful.

 Best regards,

 Justin Denes
