Chisholm Need to Know

CAROLINE CHISHOLM COLLEGE

Remote Learning
We are so grateful to our students and their families for the way you have supported our plan for remote learning. The feedback so far from our teachers and leaders is that students are following the plan distributed last week, attending their Zoom lessons and progressing with their learning. We have thought carefully about how to make sure students are well prepared and feel confident engaging in their lessons. Our fabulous Learning Support Teachers and Teachers Aides are working alongside students during their lessons online which has made a positive difference.

We would like feedback from our parents and carers as we move into our second and third weeks of remote learning. What is working and what could we be doing better? Please take a short moment to complete this feedback survey here: https://forms.gle/AZnK7Nzci3TcAMps9

It may also be a nice way to express gratitude for the work our teachers and support staff have been doing to help your daughters this week.

Delays in Instalment 3 School Fee Statements
Due to current COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, the printing of Instalment 3 statements has been postponed until further notice. They were originally due to be mailed on 19 July 2021 with a payment due date of 18 August 2021 for those parents and carers not on an arranged payment plan.

When CEDP are in a position to post these statements they will evaluate whether a new invoice date and due date is required and we will communicate this to parents and carers.

Year 10 Subject Selection
A reminder that the electronic subject selection forms for Year 11 2022 are due at the end of week 2, Friday 23 July. Students should email Ms Scollard if they have any questions or would like to discuss their subject choices via zoom. Students are asked to return a printed and signed copy of their subject selection form to Student Services when they return to face-to-face lessons.

CONTACTING THE COLLEGE VIA EMAIL

Caroline Chisholm College recognises that email is a fast and convenient way to communicate with your child’s teacher. We wish to remind you that teachers read their emails at various times throughout the school day. Further, teachers are generally not expected to respond to emails from parents and students outside of normal working hours. In the case of a genuine emergency please contact the school office during business hours on carolinechisholm@parra.catholic.edu.au or phone 02 4737 5500. We appreciate your assistance and understanding. If you have any questions about the above please feel free to contact the college.
