We respectfully acknowledge, and pay our respects to the Elders of the Kulin Nation, both past and present, as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which St John the Baptist Catholic Primary School is situated.
It has been wonderful to welcome back the Foundation students, seeing their happy smiles and hearing their chatter is delightful. It’s amazing how they have grown, and how confidently they have returned to routines and expectations. We eagerly look forward to welcoming back the rest of our students over the next couple of weeks. Please see the amended return to school schedule as emailed to all families on 18 October.
If you are looking for some tips to support your child's smooth return to school please see the flyer after the Principal's Report - 5 Tips to support your children returning to school.
I thank the students, particularly in the older grades, for truly living the St John’s WALK in the way they have accepted their responsibility to ‘Keep Safe’ while following good hygiene practices especially now that face masks are to be worn indoors. I would also like to thank parents for ensuring their children are coming to school with their own, well fitted masks.
School Hats: During Term 4, school hats must be worn at recess, lunch and all outside activities. This is in line with our SunSmart policy. If students do not have a hat they will need to stay under the veranda. Hats can be purchased online from the uniform shop.
Whole School Liturgy: On the 5th November, to celebrate the return of all students, we will be holding a School Liturgy via ZOOM. Parents will be invited to join this Liturgy if they wish - further information and ZOOM link will be sent out closer to the event.
Building Project: The building project is really starting to move with the steel framework going up this week and the building now starting to take shape. (See photos below).
