ATTENDANCE

Number of students who have not given an explanation for absences.

Hi Everyone

Welcome back to Term 4.  I hope we can end the year on a really high note and get all year levels down to zero!  We can do it.  It just takes you a small amount of time to let us know why your child was away.  Please do your best to make this happen every absence your child has.

Although we had one minor increase, overall, we have had a decrease.  The best year level was year 2, with a decrease of 5 unexplained absences.  In the previous report we had a total of 46 and now we have 44 so well done everyone.

Please, please keep this up.  The less we have, the better school community we have.  Students, make sure you receive a note or get your parent or carer to ring the school.  Let’s get down to zero.  Go Year 4’s and now Year 5’s!

Remember, it is very easy to reply to a text message when your child is sick and then it’s done and you don’t have to remember later.  In a more detailed analysis:

K            5 –  up to 6 students

P/P          5 –  to 5 students

Yr 1       8 – down to 6 students

Yr 2     11 - down to 6 students

Yr 3     12 – down to 9 students

Yr 4       2 –  to 2 students

Yr 5       7 – down to 3 students

Yr 6     10 – down to 7 students

CONGRATULATIONS

PEAC

Last term, all year 4 students sat the Primary Extension and Challenge test.  The results have been distributed to all Primary Schools and one of our students was selected.  A huge congratulations goes to ANGUS MULDER!

This program is very hard to get into and Angus has done extremely well to be the only Rawlinson student selected for 2022.  Well done Angus and we wish you well in this program.

GUITAR

Another test that the year 4 students sat this year, was for possible selection into the Instrumental Music School Services program.  This allows students to be tutored for free from year 5 right through to year 12, while at school.

The lucky recipients of this program are:

ANGUS MULDER

ANTOINETTE KAMBA

TYANNE NGUYEN DOAN

CALEB POLMEAR

KEIREN GILES

Well done to all those students and we look forward to hearing you play.

UPCOMING DATES

Term 4 - October Uniform shop - cancelled.

As I am now working full time off site, the Uniform shop will not be open in term 4.  Uniform purchases can still be made via the Qkr! app or the paper order forms in the office.  Delivery days will be the same as term 3, Mondays or Thursdays only.

Kindy orientation Wednesday 24th November Shop open time TBA - we will need 7 volunteers.  New volunteers welcome!  As this is to support new families and kids in the school other committee members will be running the opening, it's a good opportunity to get involved and meet other parents!

Email rawlinson.uniforms@gmail.com if you are interested in helping.

Uniform Shop will be closed for the year on Friday 26th November 2021. No Qkr! uniform orders or paper order forms will be accepted or processed after this date.

NAME SCHOOL UNIFORMS PLEASE

Please remember to name your children's uniform items, this will mean the items can be returned to your child, even from the lost property bin.  Any unnamed items at the end of each term come to the uniform shop to be sold on as a second hand item.

DONATIONS

Please remember to donate your unused uniforms.  Good ones for resale and tired ones to the office for accidents.

Kind regards

Sue Giles

Volunteer Uniform Shop Coordinator
