Principal's Message

How many days to go?! Not too many!

While were hurtle towards the end of term, the excitement of the end of year events is definitely in the air. The children are busy learning songs for the Christmas concert, Graduation and special assemblies while still continuing to have fun learning. The year 6 teachers are trying very hard to keep the year 6 excitement under control!

One of these wonderful celebrations is for Mrs Schoch who is retiring from the education Department after 36 years and 32 years at CPS. She has been very much a part of many families throughout her time at CPS. On behalf of the students, staff and families, we wish you a well-deserved retirement Mrs Schoch, it’s fair to say it’s time for you to take some time for yourself and enjoy your garden and catching up with friends for some long lunches!

Once again students represented CPS at Newman college at the ‘Let’s Talk Recycling in Churchlands Forum’ initiated by Local MLS Christine Tonkin and supported by the Hon Amber-Jade Sanderson. The forum provided the opportunity for the local councils, schools and businesses to discuss waste management, and recycling practices in the community. The students displayed such amazing confidence in sharing what we do at CPS to the audience. Huge thank you to students; Lachie B, Ethan P, Caitlyn J, James E and Gracie H and Mrs Samsa who lead this amazing team.

Having a grumble sadly......As per our Skoolbag message this Tuesday, we have viewed some extremely dangerous, and at times disrespectful driving and unsafe practices of some parents in the car park.  So it was with great disappointment that the following morning these behaviours continued.  We have a collective responsibility to ensure all the children at CPS are safe and I appeal to you to please take into consideration the needs of our community not an individual one.
