We had very happy children, parents and staff as we returned to onsite learning this week. It was so wonderful to see the children so excited to be back, although we did have quite a few that were nervous. They have however settled in well. Unfortunately we have no guarantee that this will be the last lockdown. In effort to make St Timothy's a safe community, we will continue to follow the restrictions very closely. It may mean that school activities may look different than the past. It is a great opportunity to reinvent, adapt, and take a new perspective/direction on school life and home school partnerships. The staff would like to send their gratitude for the amazing support provided by parents during Remote Learning.
Congratulations to our Year 6 students who celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation last night. It was a very special evening despite being smaller than normal. We were very grateful to our families that were so respectful of the restrictions.
Congratulations to Anné Buchan, Liesel Clayburn, Leah Savage, Hannah Hall, Jade Davis, Aleia Di Scala and Jack Cavell.
A big THANK YOU to Anne Maree & Jessi for preparing the children for this special Sacramental celebration and for Fr Tony for being a magnificent celebrant.
After a McDonalds lunch to celebrate yesterday the Year 6 Confirmation candidates celebrated today by sharing a beautiful range of fresh fruits that was a part of the symbols used at Confirmation last night.
The celebration for the Sacrament of First Eucharist will at this stage go ahead as planned on Saturday 14th August at 6pm. Dates and times are unpredictable with COVID restrictions, so we need to go ahead whenever we the opportunity allows. Numbers will be limited as this celebration is a part of Parish masses/celebration. Unfortunately, we wont be able to confirm exact numbers until closer to the evening. Hopefully numbers will increase giving more opportunity for guests to attend. Anne Maree Noonan will send home a form for parents to complete in regards to guests.
It is compulsory for all adults (and children over 12 but not primary students) to wear a mask on school property whilst inside and outside school buildings. We thank you for your support in following these regulations. Regulations change regularly so please refer back to Skoolbag notifications and newsletters to confirm latest regulations. Thank you
New COVID regulations ...we MUST have parents, visitors, volunteers and tradesman who come into school building log in via St Timothy's Registered QR code . These are situated at the front office. We appreciate your support in meeting these regulations.
Once again, we have been able to access funding through Sporting Schools to provide a 5 week gymnastics program this term. It is a wonderful opportunity for children to participate in a specialized gymnastics program.
We still have 3 Badminton session that will be completed in Term 4.
Book Week is just around the corner. The official dates are 21-27th August. This year we will again be celebrating this event to raise awareness of the magical world of books. Please start thinking about a costume that your child may be able to wear under the theme of Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds. We will finalise the date for our 'Worlds Dress Up Day' next week. Thank you
