At Panania North Public School our students are placed at the centre of all decisions. We are committed to providing a learning environment where all students connect, thrive and succeed and have high expectations that every student, every teacher and every leader improves every year.

Student Semester 1 Reports

Semester 1 Student reports will be sent home next week.

Our student reports are written in accordance with the School Excellence Framework, the Professional Teaching Standards and the DoE Curriculum and Reporting Policy. Our aim is to provide detailed, clear and specific information about each student’s learning, growth, next steps and improvement measures. We have used the language and terminology we use when teaching your children. If there are some terms you do not understand please talk to your children or contact their teacher.

If you would like to discuss your child's report with your child's teacher please contact them through Class Dojo to arrange a meeting or phone call.

A huge shout out to our teachers who not only have 3 or more playground duties each week but spend their break times offering the following activities for our students.

Road Safety

We are hoping to welcome back Charlene our Crossing Supervisor, next week. Over the last few weeks, myself and our teachers have been supervising the pedestrian crossing on Bransgrove Rd each morning and afternoon. I have very much enjoyed welcoming and farewelling our students and their families each day. The experience has also given me the opportunity to see firsthand, road safety outside our school.

For the safety of our children and your wallet please obey the parking and road rules outside the school. Fines in a school zone are around the $500-$600 range.

We understand parking is limited outside the school on Bransgrove Rd, Our side entrances on McRae and Wall Avenue are often a much safer and easier pick up and drop off option.

Students with phones at school

Can we remind all parents and students that if a mobile phone is brought to school, all students are expected to give their phone over to the office and collected after the school bell.

If phones are not dropped off, they will be confiscated for the day until the bell goes.

Stage 1 virtual classroom with a farmer

On Friday afternoon, Stage 1 classes participated in a virtual classroom, connecting with other schools, seeing and hearing from a real life Aussie farmer.

We met farmer Deb, an Angus beef producer at “Bellaringah Beef” located in the Southern Tablelands of NSW.

Our students had the opportunity to ask farmer Deb questions about life on a farm, how her animals are taken care of and the effects the bushfires and drought have had on the farm.

We also watched some real life clips of how the herd of cows are rounded up and learn where our food comes from.
