ATTENDANCE

Hi Everyone

Well done to the year 6 parents and carers, who have decreased unexplained absences by 2.  This year group are the only ones who have managed a positive change.

Please let the school know as to why your child is away.  The Education Department has access to our records at any given time and will question why we have so many unexplained absences so please let us know straight away.

We have gone from 53 to 54 unexplained absences so please send your reasons in as soon as you can.

If your child has 1 day a week off, that’s 40 days a year and over 2 and a half years in their school life so every day matters.

Students, make sure you receive a note or get your parent or carer to ring the school.

Remember, it is very easy to reply to a text message when your child is sick and then it’s done and you don’t have to remember later.  In a more detailed analysis:

K            3 –  up to 4 students

P/P          11 – maintained 11 students

Yr 1        5 – maintained 5 students

Yr 2        8 - up to 9 students

Yr 3        7 – maintained 7 students

Yr 4        2 –  up to 3 students

Yr 5        6 – maintained 6 students

Yr 6        11 – down to 9 students

Year 6 Outback Splash

Every year, after graduation, our year 6 students go to Outback Splash for a celebratory end of Primary School excursion.  Notes have gone home already.  I understand that there are many costs at this time of year for the 6’s and so I suggest you try to pay them as they come in or if you need help, we are more than happy to set up a payment plan.

As we have to pay for events in order of occurrence, dancing needs to be paid first and then the Outback Splash.  Please ensure dancing is paid first.

2021 END OF YEAR RAFFLE

This year the P&C has organized one major and one runner up raffle prize for our draw.  We will draw this raffle at the outdoor movie night on Friday 3rd December 2021.  How do I buy raffle tickets?  Tickets are $1.00 each and you can buy as many as you would like.  Why not ask family, friends, neighbours or work colleagues if they would like a ticket.  Place your tickets and correct money in an envelope and drop it into the Christmas Raffle box located near the canteen by 9am, Friday 3rd December.  You can also purchase at the movie from 5.30pm & 6.30pm with Prize Draw taking place directly before the movie screens.  If you are not at the movie night we will deliver your prize to the classroom on Monday 6th December.  Thanks for your support & GOOD LUCK!

UNIFORM SHOP

Well we have come to the end of the year!  The Uniform Shop will be closed for 2021 on this Friday 26th November.  If you desperately need items before we close, get your orders in!

The Uniform shop will reopen in January on the 27th and 28th for back to school purchases.  Session times to be advised.  Please consider volunteering for our Back to School open days, many hands make light work :).

Thanks to the volunteers old and new who helped us out on Kindy Open day this year.  We can't do it without you!

Kind regards
