Rawlinson Primary School News

No. 25 - 26th August 2021

Dear Parents/Guardians

The Education Department has advised schools to be prepared for a possible lockdown in the future.  Part of our preparation is determining the access that each family has to internet and internet enabled devices (such as laptops and ipads).

Each family representative (note taker) will have received a letter this week, with a slip to complete, informing us of your family’s situation in regards to being able to access home learning online.

Once completed, please return the slip to the school as soon as possible (preferably by Wednesday 1st September).

Thank you

 Clinton Ayres

Deputy Principal

The Kindy’s, P/P’s, Year 1’s, Year 2’s and Year’s 4’s, have done a great job increasing their attendance and are all back to above 90%.  We must be getting over those viruses that have been around.  The Year 3’s, Year 5’s and Year 6’s have maintained their attendance so at least we have not gone down.

Parents, remember to send us notification as to why your child is absent so it can be recorded accurately on our system.

Book Week Parade

What a fantastic parade we had on Wednesday.  There were so many different characters.  A huge Thank You to all those people who helped their child dress up for the day.  There were many Oooo’s and Ahhh’s coming from the audience as each class paraded across the stage.

Remember to go to the Book Fair in the library and have a look at the awesome books for sale and all the goodies that you can purchase too.  A huge thank you to the P & C for organising the Book Fair.  They always do a fantastic job and the display looks awesome.

P & C NEWS

UNIFORM SHOP

Next Open - To be advised

Thanks to my volunteers Wendy, Krystle, Jaana and Grace for taking care of the open on carnival day!

Change of deliveries

Notices have been posted in the P & C notice board, the uniform shop window and in the office.

The new delivery days for uniforms ordered on Qkr is Monday or Thursday.  This is due to a change in my work schedule.  My apologies for any inconvenience.

Name uniforms please

This is a reminder to everyone to please name your jumpers and hats. The lost property is full of unnamed jumpers! If your child’s jumper is named, it can be returned to them.

Donations

The donations box is still located down by the canteen.  If you have any clean good quality uniform items you no longer need please consider donating them back to the school.  Please place them in a bag in the donations box.

Emergency uniforms

The office would also appreciate donations of clean uniform bottoms (bike shorts, skirts, track pants or underwear)  in all sizes, for those students who may have an accident while at school.  They would also be grateful for the return of any items that your child may have been sent home in.
