Parent/carer comment survey - student reports Semester 2 2021

Student learning this semester has been a shared responsibility between school and home. We are including a parent reflection section in this semester's student report. You are invited to complete a separate survey for each of your children. Responses will be added to your child's report in addition to teacher and student comments.

Please complete the survey by Friday 12 November 2021.

Thankyou.

Intention to apply for Year 7 placement in a selective high school in 2023

Applications for Year 7 selective high school entry in 2023 are open. Selective high schools cater for academically gifted students with high potential who may otherwise be without sufficient classmates at their own academic standard. Selective high schools help these students to learn by grouping them with students of similar ability, and by using specialised teaching methods.

If you would like to have your child considered for Year 7 selective high school entry in 2023, you need to apply on the internet using a valid email address (not the student’s email address). The Selective High School Placement Test will be held on Thursday 10 March 2022.

Detailed instructions on how to apply and the link to the online form is available at https://education.nsw.gov.au/public-schools/selective-high-schools-and-opportunity-classes/year-7

Applications close on 17 November 2021. You must apply before the closing date. You must submit only ONE application for each student.

Please refer to the Information for Applicants document for full details, and complete and return the Intention to Apply form to Engadine West PS by 10 November 2021. The attached is NOT an application and the school CANNOT apply on your behalf.

Statements of Account

Student payments

Student Statements of Account were emailed to parents/carers on Monday. Student invoices reflect learning programs such as Reading Eggs, Reading Eggspress, LiteracyPro, Mathseeds and e-Smart Digital Citizenship Licence which continued during the Term 3 learning from home period of COVID-19 lockdown. Groove Nation is part of the PDHPE curriculum and was delivered in Term 2.

If you have recently changed your email address, please advise the school office and make sure to check your junk email folder.

If paying via the link on the Statements of Account and you have Fees in Advance (unallocated credit) on your account, you may select USE CREDIT against owing items. Your unallocated credit may be used at any time and will roll over each year until your youngest child leaves Year 6. The 'Student Registration Number' is not required however you must complete all mandatory fields which contain the red asterisk.

Payments may be made via the link on the Statement of Account emailed to you or online via the Engadine West PS website "Make a Payment" tab.

If you have difficulty on your device, you may need to change the browser you are using and try again. Do not hesitate to contact the school office should you need assistance.

  • The Lachie Smart incursion scheduled for last term for Stages 2 and 3 has been cancelled. If you paid for this incursion, the $7 fee has been credited to your account (Fees in Advance).
  • Please stay tuned for further information in the coming weeks regarding Year 6 end of year activities.
