Mathematics Assessment Interview Bookings for 2021

At the beginning of each year, all primary school students in the Parramatta diocese are assessed using the Mathematical Assessment Interview (MAI). This opportunity gives classroom teachers valuable information about the students knowledge, skills and understanding in Numeracy. This is an individual assessment interview with the new 2021 classroom teacher and it takes approximately 30 minutes per student. 

Teachers will be completing this assessment interview with students on the planned ‘Pupil-Free Days’ on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th of January 2021.

Bookings will be open from 6:30 pm Friday 11 December 2020 and will remain open until the day of the interviews in 2021. All grades have been allocated an additional teacher to complete the assessments. If there are no suitable time slots available for your child’s class teacher, please check the time slots for the allocated ‘additional grade teacher’ and book according to your child’s grade.  Further booking information will go out later this week.

2021 Parramatta Diocesan Team Sport Trials

Reminder to parents: The 2021 Parramatta Diocesan Team Sport Trial nominations are OPEN for children who play a sport, have above-average ability or play reps for that sport.  Please register by Friday 5th February 2021. No late registrations will be accepted.

Health Alert: Chicken Pox

We have today been notified of at least one student having a Chicken Pox diagnosis. The student is in Year 4. The NSW Health Department communicable fact sheet is shared for your information.

Uniform Shop

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The last delivery for school uniforms will be Friday 11th December 2020. The first delivery of 2021 will be Friday 29th January 2021.

A friendly reminder that all orders are to be placed on the QKR app by MasterCard. Please download the app, search your school and follow the prompts. 

The uniform shop will not be open during the school holidays.

Please place your orders prior to the dates above to ensure you have a uniform to start the 2021 school year.  

PLEASE NOTE: OZ FASHIONS GRANVILLE DOES NOT SELL YOUR SCHOOL UNIFORM IN STORE.

2020 SCHOOL FEES

School fees for 2020 should now be fully paid by most families unless you are on a current payment plan. Families will receive 2021 statements around the end of February 2021, which will include the Flexible Payment Plan options.

If you have any queries please contact Liz Padlan in the school office on 02 9933 7800 or via email  imac-qkhlfees@parra.catholic.edu.au, especially if you require assistance with your 2020 fees.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Last day to accept payments at school via EFTPOS will be Wednesday, 16th December 2020 by 3pm. You can however continue to make payments via https://www.parra.catholic.edu.au/Our-Schools/School-Fees using the online payment portal. 

  • Any outstanding amount in school fee accounts WILL NOT automatically receive the flexible payment plans for 2021 fees. Please contact Liz if you would like to set one up.

Absent Explanation Reminder

If your child is sick or absent you are required to notify the school. All explanations for absences must be provided within 7 days of the first day of any period of absence. 

Absences can be explained using one of the following methods:

  • Online: log the absence directly using (Skool Bag App)
  • Email: the school at mimmac@parra.catholic.edu.au
  • Telephone: the school office ph. 9933 7800
  • Note sent with your child

    • Where an explanation has not been received within the 7 day timeframe or the explanation has not been accepted, the school will record the absence as unexplained or unjustified on the student’s record. The school will not be able to accept explanations which are not received within the 7 day timeframe. 

    Be Covid Safe

    Please remember, all students who have flu-like symptoms must have a Covid test and the results need to be sent to the school email mimmac@parra.catholic.edu.au before they can return to school.

    Please visit the  NSW Health website for symptoms of Covid-19 and further information. 

    Leaving Student Form

    If you intend to withdraw your child from Mary Immaculate Primary School please download, complete and return the leaving student form as soon as possible.

    Note that there is a 10 school week notice period otherwise a full term's fees will be payable.

    One exception is that notice in writing will be accepted at any time during Term 4 in relation to the following year’s enrolment.
