Music Room

We are so excited to offer a full program of choral singing and performance opportunities this year!

Rawlinson Choir is registered to sing in the Massed Choir Festival- due to perform at the Perth Concert Hall towards the end of term 3.  This promises to be a fantastic opportunity for all those children who love to sing!  There are also a number of other opportunities to perform for our school and the wider community throughout the year.

Please come along to our rehearsals on Thursday mornings at 8.00am in the Music Room.

You must be ready to sing at 8.00am, so arrive 5 minutes early!

Students from A2 will have their work displayed

weeks 5 & 6 of Term 1.

Please visit the office to admire the work that is on display.

HEALTH TIPS

GASTROENTERITIS

Gastroenteritis, or ‘gastro’ is a common condition in children of all ages. It occurs when the bowel is infected by a virus or bacteria.  Symptoms include diarrhoea, vomiting, stomach cramps and sometimes, fever.  Most cases in children are not serious, but it is very important to make sure that a child with gastro receives enough fluid. If your child has gastro, keep them away from school for 48 hours after vomiting and diarrhoea have stopped. If symptoms persist see your family doctor. The easiest way to prevent gastro is to make sure everyone in the family washes their hands regularly, especially before eating and after going to the toilet. For more information go to http://www.public.health.wa.gov.au/2/597/2/gastroenteritis.pm

P & C NEWS

CANTEEN NEWS

To ease the problems with ordering lunches during the swimming period, the canteen will once again offer hot lunches (full menu).

The following classes need to pick up their lunches from the canteen when returning from swimming as directed by your teachers : B3, C1, D2 and D3.

This makes sure hot food remains hot and cold food cold.

Many Thanks
