What a very busy last few weeks of celebrating the amazing achievements of CPS!
The Big Music Night (BMN) was once again a concert of exceptional talent. Huge thank you to Mr Howesmith for all his hard work getting this together, to the IMSS specialists for developing the children to such a high level of musical aptitude and to staff for their backstage prowess! Top job by all.
On Wednesday we were invited to host the Minister of Education, Hon Sue Ellery and Minister for Environment; Climate Action; Commerce, Hon Amber-Jade Sanderson, who announced the launch of a Sustainability Framework and School Clean Energy Tech Fund with Channel 9 in attendance filming the event for the News. Two of our Student Councillors, Sam and Helena, displayed great confidence when meeting the Ministers. Three Environmental Officers, Rosie, Ethan and Olivia engaged the Ministers by showing them all the wonderful things we do for our environment. Again our kids were amazing representatives of CPS. The Ministers and Channel 9 commended the children and school for their sense of respect, and valuing what we do at CPS. How lucky are we to be congratulated for all the great opportunities students get at CPS.
The school Board are actively engaged in reviewing relevant governance procedures of the school throughout the year. They have reviewed, along with staff, the 2022 Contributions and Charges, 2022 School Development Days, Class Placement Guidelines and Class Structures, A Guide for Parents. These have all been added to the Webpage for your reference.
Staff will soon begin the process of developing classes for 2022. Organising staffing and student placements is a highly complex process with many factors playing in what the composition of classes will look like. We are governed by the funding we are provided, number of students and working within the Award and Agreement guidelines. Below is a draft overview of what classes may look like in 2022. These may change if we receive further enrolments. Please refer to the Class Placement Guidelines and Class Structures, A Guide for Parents for further clarification of processes.
