COVID-19 Update
Currently, the school is operating at Level 3 Plus. This places significant operating guidelines on the school.
Our operating guidelines under level 3 plus will involve the following:
- All staff and students that experience the mildest of COVID symptoms, should remain at home until symptom free and the returning of a negative covid test result.
- Face masks are required for staff at school in all school settings, including the playground.
- Students are strongly encouraged to wear masks at school. The school has some student sized masks for those students that would like to wear them.
- QR code sign-in processes are expected of all staff.
- Non-essential visitors are not permitted in schools.
- Parents should maintain physical distancing when gathering outside of the school gate.
- Parents that do need to enter the school, should follow mask-wearing requirements and sign in using the Service NSW QR code. However, we encourage all parents to contact the school via, phone calls and email.
- Many school programs such as SRE and excursions will be placed on hold for the time being.
- Our OOSH service will continue to operate morning and afternoon for those parents that require before and after school care.
- Assemblies can only be held without visitors.
- Modification of school based programs to meet Covid requirements.
Whilst we are operating under these guidelines, we are operating and providing daily learning for all students. We will keep you informed of any changes to our operating guidelines, and we will keep you informed of any changes to the restriction level.
Before & After School Care
Big Childcare are back in full swing. They are following COVID safety guidelines and are here to support our families. If you require care either before or after school, please contact the amazing team at Big Childcare and see how they can support you and your family.
Science Fair
Our Science Fair will be held at school on Wednesday 3 November. All students that worked so hard on a Science Project are invited to share their research with others on this day. We are unable to have the community present for the Fair, but we will share the student work via social media on the day. We will still have prizes for the winners in each stage grouping.
Kinder Orientation
Our Orientation program has been postponed to a date to be determined. We are unable to conduct orientations whilst the school is in Level 3 plus. However, we are hoping restrictions will ease a little later in the term and that we will be able to reschedule with definite dates at that time. Currently, we anticipate this will be some time in mid-November.
Camp Berry - Week 10
Currently, the school will be unable to attend our proposed School Camp to Berry at Level 3 or Level 3 plus restrictions. We will need to make a final call in the coming week for our camp. Should this be the case, we will refund Year 6 students and roll over the existing funding for a rescheduled camp in 2022 to Camp Berry. More information will follow very soon on the final determination.
School Photo Day 2021
School Photo Day is just around the corner. We are having the School Photographer company at school on Wednesday 10 November. You should now have the order forms at home. Please send these back on the day of photos. Remember to wear your best uniform on this day. Year 6 students may wear their Year 6 shirt.
Uniform Order
A uniform order form went home yesterday with students. If you would like to place an order please do so via Skoolbag and make a payment via the school website by Friday 5 November.
School Canteen
Our school canteen will resume trading on Friday 5 November. Our canteen is also operating under COVID restrictions, and will follow the guidelines to ensure all members of the school are safe.
