Rawlinson Primary School News

No. 12 – 20 May 2019

PRINCIPAL’S NEWS

Dear Parents

Wednesday 22nd May, D4 Assembly - See you all there.

The P&C at Rawlinson Primary School is the best committee that I have had the privilege to work with in any school over the last forty years!

You are very lucky, They raise approximately $14 000 every year to spend on your children.

On Friday before the election they sourced the sausages, buns and cut up bags of onions. On the Saturday they arrived at school at 7.30am to begin cooking and served the crowd till 5 in the afternoon.

They did this to raise money to support your children at this school. This year alone the P&C have continued to support your children by paying for 50% of the lease on Interactive Screens, all of the cost of having Mathletics and resources for the Nature Playground in the Early Childhood area.

We are privileged and very lucky.

Please, make a point of saying thank you to this hard working team whenever you see them around the school.

PUPIL FREE DAY - STUDENTS DO NOT ATTEND

What a great start to the term.  Every year level is in the ninetieth percentile.  The K’s, P’S and the Year 4’s, have all increased their attendance.  The P/P students achieved an increase of 5% so that’s a fantastic effort.

The Year 1’s have maintained their attendance with 92% so great effort kids.  Our late students have decreased so well done parents and students.  Please keep working on being at school every day and on time so that your child/ren have the best opportunity to reach their potential.

    APPLICATIONS FOR ENROLMENT FOR 2020

Applications for enrolment for children entering Kindegarten, Pre-Primary and Years 1-6 in the 2020 year can be made at the office.

Please bring your child's birth certificate (passports, visa and copies of any court orders if applicable) and immunisation history statement available online https://www.humanservices.gov.au/individuals/enablers/air-immunisation-history-statement/40556 when you come to complete your application form.

Also please bring proof of address (current rates notice, current lease agreement or your mortgage agreement).

Please note that this is an APPLICATION ONLY and is step one in the process.

The principal then accesses the application according to Department of Education policies and if successful, parents are invited to complete an enrolment.

ATTENTION PARENTS OF KINDY AND PRE PRIMARY STUDENTS

Parents are requested to let the office know if their child will require positions at

    Rawlinson Primary School in 2020.

    IMPORTANT

As part of our planning and Departmental requirements for next year, we need

to know the number of students who will be attending

    Rawlinson Primary School in 2020.

This enables us to begin to work our year level configurations and class sizes.

Apart from Year 6's, could you please indicate to

Mrs Johnson or Mrs Bartolomei (School Officers) if your child/children will

DEFINITELY NOT BE ATTENDING Rawlinson Primary School in 2020.
