Student Council News

What a great outcome we have had from the coinathon fundraising event! The school raised K430.10 for Lesiat School. The event was a GREAT success filled with enthusiasm and smiles. Students and their families dug deep to support the local school, and the children thoroughly enjoyed counting the money and lining it up. The lines of money were quite long, particularly that of the Year 1/2 class with a line of coins longer than 11 metres, with an amount of K124.35. They raised the most money and earnt themselves a well-deserved Zooper Dooper ice block. Well done to Ms Savitas, Mrs Tukata and all of the children. The 1/2 class was closely followed by the Year 3/4 class with K114.40.

All books, resources and money will be presented to Lesiat School early in the new school year. Thank you to all the families who supported via donations and by supporting student council events to raise money.

Thank you to each and every student who has been part of the student council committee throughout the year. Despite some restrictions, we have had movie events, art competitions, free dress days, weekly VIP draws, ice cream afternoons, a coinathon and Friday frozzies.

The student council wishes all LIS students and their families a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas

Thank you parents for your commitment and flexibility during the 2021 school year. Even though there were challenges, it has been another successful year of learning at LIS.

I would like to take the opportunity to wish our students, parents and the wider LIS community a merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year. For the students and families leaving us, we wish you all the very best for the future.

I look forward to seeing everyone in January, 2022.

Kind regards,

Ms Langusch
