As we come to the end of another challenging year it is important to reflect, rejoice and share the school’s successes, achievements and beautiful memories. The past year has certainly held a lot of challenges. We started the year feeling hopeful that we had turned the corner on Covid and were eager to get back to business. The weather decided to challenge us once more when floods swallowed our beautiful town, but again the community spirit rose to the occasion and the support and care of each other was abundant. The disruption to our students learning has been relentless.
I am proud of the way our students and teachers embraced challenges, change and hard work. I am proud of the care, support and encouragement the children here give each other. I am proud of the way the P & C works to support the school not just in fundraising but also by supporting the schools targets. I am proud of the gains our students have made academically and of the sportsmanship that is apparent in all our students.
The filming of the beautiful book ‘The Little Lady’ brought joy to the end of the year.
I am overwhelmingly proud of the way every staff member in the school pulled together and created, designed, painted, sewed, trained and supported each other to make our concert a spectacular success.
I watched with wonder as the students embraced their roles, sang their songs, danced and supported each other. There was a positive and heartening vibe throughout the school.
I then stood in awe of a lady that took a beautiful book and turned it into a magical production, that inspired those around her to get on board. Thank you, Mrs Hayes, for your vision, direction and dedication.
Being able to focus on positive emotions is more than just smiling, it is your ability to be optimistic and view the past, present and future in a positive way. Let’s now focus on the adventures in front of us and look forward to witnessing our students flourish and succeed.
I wish you a very happy, safe and relaxing holiday with family and friends. Thank you.
"Life is short, eat the Christmas cookies."
