Dear Parents and Carers,
Congratulations!
Congratulations to all our students for flourishing over the past 12 months. They are all amazing! Well done also to the students who received awards during our presentation assemblies last week. Congratulations also to our newly elected Captains for 2021, Eben and Amarli, and Vice Captains Tia and Kayne. We know they will be wonderful ambassadors for our school.
Farewell Year 6
We wish our Year 6 students all the very best as they move into high school next year. It has been an absolute pleasure watching them grow and develop into the fine young adults they are today. We know they will go on to achieve amazing things and we look forward to hearing about their achievements for years to come.
2021 Dates
Next year there will be two Staff Development Days at the beginning of Term 1, which means students in Years 1 – 6 will commence school on Friday 29 January. Kindergarten’s first official day will be Tuesday 2 February, following their Best Start assessment.
Share Our Space
Our school will again be participating in the ‘Share our Space’ initiative where the grounds will be open for community use during week days over the coming holidays. Security will keep a close eye on the premises and as always, members of the community are reminded to contact School Security on 1300 880 021 if they see any suspicious activity.

On the final school day of the year, I look back at what an unforgettable year it has been. However, in true Tomerong style, our school and students have continued to receive amazing support from our parents and community. I whole heartedly thank you for your understanding and for abiding by the many restrictions imposed upon you throughout the year. I said during our presentation assembly last week that asking parents to remain off site goes against everything we believe in at Tomerong Public School and we are looking forward to the day we can come back together as a school community.
As always, a big thank you to the staff who have worked tirelessly to support the academic, social and emotional growth of our students. I’m so fortunate to work alongside such compassionate and professional educators.
