Dear Parents
Without a doubt this has been the hardest start of a year that I have experienced. The stress that we are feeling is due to uncertainty but there is not much we can do about it except take every day as it comes, communicate clearly any changes and support each other to try to make any difficult situation as easy as possible.
Please remember that we all have the best interests of your children and their safety as our priority.
Due to the latest Government protocols we have implemented some changes to the way we do things at school.
· Parents may come onto the school site, wearing a face mask, only to drop off and pick up students. Parents cannot enter rooms.
· Please try not to arrive before 8.30am or enter the school grounds before school concludes. Please do not remain on the school grounds to allow your children to play on the playground or to socialise. You are required to leave as soon as you have picked up your children.
· Children will be having lunch at the same time however we now have Year groups in separate eating areas.
· Children will still have lunch and recess play times at the same time however, we have separated the year groups into separate play areas, that they will rotate through each week.
· We have extra cleaning staff who are cleaning the playground equipment, seats, door handles and large traffic areas.
· Hand sanitiser is out on tables around the school and children are being encouraged to use it regularly.
· The canteen will be open at the same times as usual.
· Choir is unfortunately, cancelled.
· The annual P&C Welcome BBQ, that was to be held this Friday, will also be cancelled.
Thank you to all the staff who are doing such a fantastic job to make the conditions fun and enjoyable for the students. And, thank you for the effort you are making to support us.
Kind regards
Darryl Dedman
