Goulburn Public School

Term 1 - Week 5

Principal's Message

It was such a pleasure to see so many families attend our 'Meet The Teacher', afternoon on Tuesday 16 February. Our staff enjoyed meeting you all and having the opporunity to show you the fantastic work that our students have been busy learning here at Goulburn Public School.  We thank you for following the Covid Department guidelines on the day and continuing to support our school as we do our best to keep everyone safe while there are still restrictions in place.

We held our whole school assembly this week where we presented our 2021 SRC  and Library monitor badges. Congratulations to the students who received their badges this week.

Our school photo day is Tuesday 30 March. Please add this to your calendar and keep a look out for the photo envelopes that will be sent home with your children soon.

As the cooler and wet weather approaches can I just remind you to send your children in their school jumper everyday. Please make sure all jumpers are clearly labelled as it can be very frustrating when jumpers are misplaced.

Lastly, the renovations are coming along nicely for our new office. I want to thank all of our parents and students for adjusting to the new drop off and pick up zones and continuing to support our staff at Goulburn Public School.

Term 1 - Weeks 4 & 5

PBL Weeks 4 & 5

To start our year off on the right foot, we have decided to focus on each of our core expectations throughout Term 1. In Weeks 4 & 5 we have looked closely at the school expectation ‘Respectful’. What does it mean to be Respectful? What does being Respectful look or sound like at school? How do you show Respectful behaviour to others? Students have had the opportunity to discuss and share their thoughts on these questions and more. Try engaging your child by asking what they have learned from these discussions!

The Big Vegie Crunch

We are on a mission to increase children’s knowledge, exposure and positive attitudes towards vegetables.

On Thursday 18 March at 10am, all Goulburn Public School students will be participating in the Big Vegie Crunch.

The Big Vegie Crunch is an attempt by NSW primary school students to break the record for the highest number of children eating vegetables simultaneously – and to get kids excited about vegetables.

We are encouraging students to bring in a vegetable to eat for the Big Veg Crunch.

We will be having a competition for the students who bring the most unique vegetable on the day and a prize will be presented to these students.

Have you moved house? Do you have a new phone number?
