From the Principal

Presentation Day:

Congratulations to all students who received an award at presentation day last week. The ceremony is now available for viewing through the Google Drive link sent out via Skoolbag last week.

Staff Leaving:

I would like to wish Kahli Saunders, Melinda McGrath, Fiona Druery, Roleter Lane and Ashleigh Garven all the best as they move onto other positions and schools in 2021. We have valued their contributions to the school and wish them all the best.

Classes 2021:

At this point in time, we will have 16 mainstream classes and 3 support classes in 2021. The class teachers will be as follows.

Kindergarten – Ms Morton, Mrs McLeod, Mrs Simmons (K/1)

Year 1 – Miss Blyth, Mrs Wakely

Year 2 – Mrs Burr, Mrs Hoscher, Mrs Milgate (Yr 2/3)

Stage 2 (Year 3/4) – Miss Mitchell, Mr Batchelor, Miss Walters, Ms Hamilton

Stage 3 (Year 5/6) – Ms Patrick, Miss Bath and Mrs Herbert, Miss Spillane, Mrs Bohatko (Year 4/5)

Support Unit – Mr Sharland, Mrs Osborne, Mrs McDonald (formerly known as Miss Pearce)

As you could imagine, teachers have spent countless hours placing students in classes for next year and to change even one child has a domino effect as we try to ensure every student has a friend in their class.

 Year 6 Clap Out:

Year 6 Clap Out will be held on Wednesday 16th December at 2.35pm. One parent for each student will be allowed to attend on site and will be asked to make a circle on the playground. Parents will need to sign a COVID declaration to attend and will need to socially distance from other adults while on site.  Parents and students will need to leave the school grounds shortly after the clap out and parents will not be able to mingle with other parents. Additional parents may stand, socially distanced from other adults, outside the school gates and clap students out as they leave the school grounds.

Happy Holidays:

I would like to take this opportunity to wish our entire community a wonderful holiday and merry Christmas. It has been a difficult, but amazing year at Warners Bay PS and I look forward to another great year in 2021. School will resume for students on Friday 29th January.

The school will be open for staff only on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th January 2021.
