From the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

It was great to see parents back at our assembly last Friday.  Unfortunately we will need to restrict parent participation to those parents belonging to the class presenting the assembly as there are still crowd / building capacity ratio regulations we need to comply with.

I wish our year 3 & 5 students well with their NAPLAN assessments next Tuesday-Thursday.  We aim to keep the participation in NAPLAN as low key and normalised as possible for the children and ask that you do the same at home.

I look forward to seeing our mums at the Mother's Day Breakfast on Friday morning.  I hope you all have a wonderful day on Sunday.

We had perfect weather for the Year 3-6 Cross Country this morning.  We are so lucky to have the reserve so close to the school for this event. Well done to the students who will be going on to the Moyne Cross Country and those did their best.

Kind regards,

Olga Lyons, Principal

Congratulations to our students on the behaviours they have displayed when they have been entering and exiting our school. Having students walking bikes and scooters across the school crossing and out the front of the school ensures their safety as they travel to and from school.

Our Expected Behaviour Blitz will be our corridors.

P & F Meeting Feedback

Canteen

The P & F have decided that from Term 3 the canteen will run only one day a week, on a Friday. Due the unavailability of volunteers we feel that this will be our best option. We have also tossed up the idea of holding a 'How to session' for those parents who would like to volunteer but unsure of what is involved. We will put out interest for that later in the term.

School Fair

There was discussion at the meeting on when we will hold our School Fair. Traditionally it has been the first weekend of Term 3 but after some discussion it has been decided that a Christmas Themed Fair is what we would like to hold. Most likely the date will be in November. Watch this space.

Mother's Day Breakfast

Our Mother's Day Breakfast will be held this Friday, May 7, in the school hall at 8.00am. Orders closed on Tuesday. No late orders will be accepted.

Church Cleaning - Help Needed

The Parents and Friends are rostered on to clean the church for the month of June. This involves dusty and vacuuming the altar and entry ways and doing the flowers. A run down of the duties is attached. If you are available on a Friday or Saturday during June to help with the cleaning please contact Renee Killen 0418 541 294 or Lucy Lehne 0437 196 225.
