Important Information

Athletics Success!

We are all looking forward to our athletics carnivals next week.  Primary students head to Wright Park on Thursday 10th June and our infants students will participate in their carnival here at school on our Baylis oval  on Friday 11th June.  I look forward to sharing these events with students and families.  We will appreciate your attendance and assistance on the day.  Don't forget to rug up though.  Winter is here!

I am pleased to acknowledge the wonderful sporting achievements of our students so far in 2021.  This week we awarded the 11 year girls district swimming trophy to Eliza L.  We celebrated our school's achievement winning the small schools' trophies for swimming and cross country.  What fantastic results for our 150th year.  Congratulations to all!

Clare Sullivan

Material Needed!

The Wakakirri team is looking for pieces of red and royal blue material to make some patchwork capes for the royal characters in the performance. We are looking for any size of spare material that you may have and it can rage from sequins, pieces of red or blue fake fur, velvet, plain material to old wooden jumpers or blankets that we will felt down to form part of the capes. The characters are royal street cats so it is material that they may have found in the garbage/ on the streets and pieced together to make the capes. You will not receive the material/ jumpers back.If you can donate any, it would be greatly appreciated and if you could give it in to the front desk in bag with a tag on it for “Wakakirri” by next Friday the 11th June then that would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Wakakirri team
